Mike and I have often talked about the importance of "making it here". We have concluded that if we can "make it here", we can "make it" anywhere! Make it with patience, make it with love, make it with humour, make it with communication, make it with forgiveness. Our FAMILY is the "here" and we are doing our best to make it!

cardston parade
Every summer we find a spot along the side of the road to watch a good old fashioned parade. The kind with candy, floats, horses, old cars and marching bands. At the close of the parade, my kids inevitably say to me, "why aren't we in the parade?". To which I pretend I don't hear them or I defer them to their dad. This year, Grandma decided to get us in the parade! At first it was just the girls, but Brett would have none of that - He got Dad on board to help him rig his bike into a viking ship! Mom's cunning plan worked! I did nothing, and enjoyed collecting candy at the side of the road.
