recap of summer

 This summer held lots of camps for the kids.  Lily and Brett went to fiddle camp and improved a lot. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to play with and learn from professional musicians.  The Great Canadian Barn dance is a really fun place to have camp and jam.  Lily and Gabriella also had a girls camp "retreat" in Calgary, staying in hotels and eating in restaurants! Certainly nothing like my girls camp experiences of building our own outhouse and eating dehydrated food!  They loved it!  The whole family enjoyed Naomi's bible camp out on the land.  We had fun visiting with old friends in our new testament apparel.  The last camp was Liber youth retreat for the two oldest.  It was Lily's first time and they both had a great experience!

Hikes - Gabriella's first BIG hike up crypt in Waterton.  Lily, Brett and Mike went too, along with Ursenbach's and several of the families from the land.  Brett and Mike went on an even bigger Hike a week later.  Sophia and I hiked "Bertha falls" with lots of Sala's and Ursenbach's,  as they were reunioning in the area at the time.  

Mike's brother Chris, Tom and Suri came for a short visit in August and we had fun splashing around in the waterpark in Lethbridge.  We completed the sell of our house in July and broke ground on our place in September! We now have foundation walls and the floors will be poured hopefully this week. The building process has been an adventure and we have definitely experienced miracles along the way.

Peter is now 5 months and Brett (now 9 years old) and Mike (never mind) had Birthdays in September. We are now looking forward to Sophia turning 6 in October.
As well Mike and Kathryn celebrated 16 wonderful years of marriage together on September 27.
