Peter Benjamin Parker

Spidy
It is hard to believe that I have relented to naming my son after Spiderman!  It has been worth it for the pure joy it brings to my husband and son and all the men and boys in our life.
Peter arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule and as I approach my original due date, I am sooooo glad that I am on this side of the birth.
Preparations
We had a home birth with my best friend and midwife, Eve Verdon.  Mike was fantastic as usual and Eve was such a wonderful midwife! We set up a large tub in the kitchen and Peter was born in the water, healthy and strong. He is a little guy though - 6 pounds 6 ounces - Born April 12th at 11:30 pm.  Mike and I both enjoyed the home birth experience - especially afterwards being able to sleep in our own bed without being wakened by hospital staff every hour.  Labour and delivery was relatively short - 1 1/2 hr - though it seemed to me like my longest. I guess time stands still when your in pain. We are so delighted to have this little boy in our lives and be blessed with another member of our family!
welcome to the world

Sunday walk

Sunday afternoon in Cardston - the weather is beautiful and we are out for a stroll around the temple. Puppy and people training is a lot harder when there are so many distractions, but it was a nice outing none the less.
We hope we can keep her!
4 more weeks until Parallel arrives

And they called it, puppy love!
Caught in the act of being tagged by Dad.

Sophia's favourite pastime.

hmm, Sophia has some competition for cuteness.

Third annual daddy daughter dance

These girls have learned some great jive moves!
Ok, so dad does kinda look like a grandpa, but he can still move it!
The boys in the kitchen work hard for their treats!
Rachel and I get the joy of watching this awesome event while I handle the music.
This is priceless!
She loves the baby even more than the dancing!
So worth it every time!! Thank you dear friends for putting this on.

This Winter

It's hard to believe our "little Lil" is growing up! Lily turned 12 this February.

She loves to cook and bake, take care of baby Levi, spend time with Charity and stay up late with her big sister.

Sophia was given this pretty dress from Grandma Elaine - sewn especially for her.

It is March, and this was our only sledding day this winter! We had a mild winter.

Valentines was fun and messy as we made cards for each other.

There is no end to brett's lego creations - and mom's frustration at stepping on lego pieces!

These two are always having fun!

Sophia loves to draw and write notes to the family. She is also learning to read.

Lily spends lots of time on the computer writing stories and other learning. Looks some multi-tasking going on.

Gabriella spends lots of time playing music and singing along with her studies.
