Mom's birthday2016/ Christmas 2015/ Winter

Lily and helpers made me this beautiful breakfast for my birthday! WOW!

Lily got up at 5:00 a.m. two days in a row (the first day I had my head in the toilet) to make butterhorns, bacon, eggs, fresh cut hashbrowns and hot chocolate with a generous (overflowing) dollop of whipped cream.  It tasted as good as it looked!

This was a week long project that kept Brett, Asa and Enoch working late into the night with their head lamps on.  It was such an awesome igloo.  Unfortunately the weather warmed up before they could finish - but what a great time they had.  I know I can count on the boys to make us a great shelter if we ever have to live like Eskimos.  I actually think I will send this picture to all my American friends and say "you were right, we do live in igloos in Canada" - I'll attach a picture of Becky's husky dogs while I am at it! ha ha

I think this was our best Christmas yet.  The kids were so excited about giving each other presents this year.  They really put a lot of thought and money into pleasing each other.  There was more excitement anticipating the joy they were going to give each other than what they would be receiving.  So lovely!  It was fun to get the wii too!

This is becoming a tradition for Sophia to get a bathing suit for Christmas.  I wonder how long her red jammies will fit?
Last year's Christmas suit.

Brett had to squeeze into his onsies this year (I believe it was quite uncomfortable for him)!

New Year's Eve feast of hors d'oeuvres with the Verdons.

Liza's sliders (a hit with Sophia).

Enoch's amazing wings!

Lily's delectable potato skins.
